One of my earliest shots with my (then) new 500 F/4, with 2x converter.

I liked this one because it's a little different - I'm finding I prefer to have more environment in my bird photos rather than having the bird as the sole subject.

It's a little soft - long lens technique still needs practice, especially with the 2x converter on there. I should probably have upped the iso a bit to give myself a faster shutter speed.

While I like the concept that is employed, it seems as if the focus and the subject matter is the berry laden bush, more so than the Robin. Will be interested in other comments.

I agree with Hugh although this would be good for a book to show feeding habits of robins. The light and colors are very nice.

Good color and exposure. :D I like where you are going with the idea of showing more environment. But the large mass of the tree and berries somewhat overpowers the bird's relatively diminutive mass. I like the clean sky.
