I'm partial to toned images and this one is very good. Kinda reminds me of an aged postscard. perhaps a crop just above the roof and tree to eliminate some of the sky, Or off the foreground to anchor the subjects in the bottom third. Then there are vertical crops as well. All which show you captured a great image.

Nice concept!

I find the splotchiness of the foreground a bit distracting though. I'd recommend the opposite of eSearing--crop off some foreground. I find the sky to be a powerful element when toned like this, and as I said, and I don't like the foreground as much. Cut the bottom off, and it moves the barn and tree down to the lower 1/3 points, which I think will anchor the image in a nicer way, leaving the result at near the traditional 35mm aspect ratio. I'm looking at it on my screen that way right now, and I like it a lot!

What is the thing near the horizon at the left side? It doesn't look old enough to belong.

I get to agree with Paul here! The splotchy foreground bothers me, but mostly just the darker stuff near the base of the barn. Overall, I like the toning and the "old" feeeling of this.

The splotchy stuff is the ground :) . Here's the image straight out of the camera.

Wow Harvey, you really get your money's worth out of PS!! Great transformation with this image. I like it a lot and also think the crop off the bottom would make this really strong. I'm not trying to be picky here but I think I see a wisp of a power line between the tree and the barn roof, or maybe it's just my funky old eyes! Great old time feel you've achieved.

I really like the tones in this, too. The overall feel is moody and like an illustration for an intriguing story or dream.
