Canopies are quite dark. This was at ISO 200 at f5.0 and 1/100 sec. was the shutter speed.

Yes it is stark or bold looking, but it sort of reminds me of some of the older images you sometimes see that were very bold looking in contrast which I like.
I like the comp which is different, and the details are fairly nice too!! 8)

Nice try Harvey but for me it doesn't work in B&W - in fact very few images really have that wow factor that can take B&W IMHO. The composition takes my eye into the picture but then there is nothing to hold it or want to take it further - hope you understand what I am babbling on about!!! :?

Powerful shot, I think this is a shot where the high contrast works well. I like the comp.
