I'm not sure what you guys are going to say about this shot but I'm here to learn so please let me know what you think. Does this crop work for you? After seeing the Robin's look toward the flowers, I thought I would ruin the shot by taking them out.

Also, please let me know if you think I left too much grass in the foreground. I wanted the feeling of you being there but I think I may have left too much in.

Canon 20D+400mm 5.6L+1.4x converter (manual focus) on tripod.

Shutter: 1/320th
Aperture: f/8
ISO: 400
Metering Mode: Partial
Exposure Compensation: +2/3

Comments and suggestions are always welcome!

Thanks for looking!

I like the idea of the composition, but I think it would be better with less room at the bottom and a little more at the top

Not bad but to much grass in front...I would crop the blurred grass to a point where the bird would be the center of attention.

I think the trail of flowers leading to the Robin's bill is what makes this one unique.

I agree with EJ and a bit too much grass in front but a nice, different shot.

I agree with cropping about 50% of the blurred FG. Well done.

Thank you all for the look! I appreciate the input. For some reason I always like to include a lot of the foreground if it is grass. Anyways, I tried the crop and I like it better now. Please let me know what you think. I decided to leave the top as is because personally I didn't like the extra space on the top.

If you've got it, I would add a smidge at the top. Great job!

I like the panoramic crop with all the little flowers in the same plane of focus as the robin. I do like the crop from the bottom in the repost but would like more added back at the top so it has a little more space, feels just a tad cramped height-wise as is.

A nice shot, markyboy!
Would add back just a bit at bottom of the repost; it's overdone ...

Robin, flowers, grass... SPRING :D

Nice theme. I like the pano, but if you have any more up top I'd add it back.

Thank you all for the look! I was a bit worried that I took too much from the bottom. I will fix that in a moment.

Thanks again for all the looks and the suggestions!
