This squirrel sits outside my office building in downtown Washington DC every day waiting for handouts. This day, he was eating acorns he had gotten from a nearby oak tree. I couldn't resist snapping this image.

Taken with a Nikon D100, 28-105 @ 105mm.
Slight cropping from the original, and some USM in PhotoShop.

Feedback appreciated.

Cute shot, some flash to balance the shadowed foreground with the unshadowed background would bring out the squirrel a lot better.

Nice. Agree w/ EJ about using fill flash.

Use of a levels mask should balance things out quite a bit. I've posted an example below, but it may appear a bit warm. My CRT power supply died so I'm using my laptop for post processing until I get it fixed. I've already been told it's quite a bit off color temp wise. Although I've tried to compensate for this, I can't tell how successful I was :D

I desperately need a new car, but I bought a lens instead...

Looks like you did a great job, although I am viewing from a laptop also. Thanks for reposting the touchup.

Cute :). I was going to suggest a slight levels adjustment but again I was beaten to it.
