My photographs aim at being true, not at being beautiful because, what is true is most often beautiful.

Interesting. Not sure if I object to the tilted horizon or not. It makes me look harder at the composititon. The tree being upright fools the eye initially. with a slight crop off the left side I might not even know the horizon is tilted.

Very different and deserves praise for the thought that went into making the image.

Interesting. I get the feeling that all the water is going to run on to the land...

The tilted boat bothers my eye more than the horizon. If the boat was lined up with the tree instead of the horizon, this would work much better, IMHO.

A neat concept, though.

Those roots are amazing! Time to jump out of the canoe and go check them out! Did you bring a lunch? I like this Mark, as a canoeist and as a photographer. I feel sort of a dizzy sensation looking at it, rubbery legged and ready to hop on shore.
