This is one of the shots from what I call, my "Dreamworld" series.
Many times I will get deep within a clump of bushes and then start to look and study the many abstract colors/shapes within the foliage that I will see while looking with the Canon zoom or Canon macro lens.
Then there are times I will follow along a stem while looking through the viewfinder, suddenly discovering a insect sitting there.
Usually I will shoot a quick shot because they will quickly vanish at times, then work for a better composition and lighting if they will stay still.
This little guy sat there for just one shot, then took off!

I always have liked trying to get a shot of an insect showing what their world might look and feel like to them. A world full of color, shapes, and of course, mystery!

Not the best DOF, but I got what he gave me in that split second!! :)

Canon Rebel 300D
Canon IS 75-300mm lens with Kenko extension
1/250 sec. @ f5.6
ISO 200
Handheld

Thanks for looking gang!

Way cool! Not your ordinary shot and the difference is quite appealing. Very nice!

Hi Michael. This is another unique and interesting shot from you! I love the shapes, colors and do feel this gives a good "bug's world" perspective! :)
