Love that "neon" look within parts of the body Harvey and the detail looks fine where needed. Would be nice with a tad more DOF, but still, nice!
The depth shown blends nicely as it leads away from the fly.
Some may suggest to get rid of some of the empty space up top but I just can't make up my mind on that one.
Regardless, I like it fine as is!!! :)

Harvey,

Now I know why they hurt when they sting.

Interesting colors on the abdomen. The green leaf compliments the colors of the fly nicely.

OK, here's some trivia that may cause your eyes to roll. This is a true fly, in the order Diptera. All of the common names of true flies have the noun "fly" as a separate word. The correct spelling for this would be Green Bottle Fly. Other flying insect have names such as butterfly, stonefly, mayfly, etc, with the "fly" as just another syllabus in the word.

Well done, irridescent colors, as much DOF as F7 can make it. I asume you handheld, but not sure. THe fly shots lately have been amazing. This is excellent and the leaf really shows off the fly.

Cool colors harvey. I like this photo of a fly a whole lot better than a fly itself.
