I think compositionally its fine - I would like to see the background darker which could be achieved by underesposing the shot and then adding flash to lighten up the subject a bit.

I agree with E.J. I would try to keep white sky out of most all of your shots. There are very few that I have seen where the white sky actually helps the photo.
