White Pelican- Big Gulp

White pelican with a large, exotic specie fish at Sepulveda Basin, Los Angeles.
A big fish, the pelicans head vibrates as it swallows the fish which flips and flops trying to escape, but alas, it is food in the end.

That is a large fish and the expanded pouch is quite odd looking. Well done, Steve. The ripples in the water give the feeling that it needs a bit of rotation.

Wow, hard to believe he's actually going to swallow that thing whole! :shock: The fish looks like he's going to push right through the pelis pouch. Great catch Steve!
