Very cool first post! I Like the perch and the pose of the GBH. I wish for: a little more room on both sides, little more sharpness and contrast and I wish the whites in the face werent hot. Sounds like a lot but a few are easily remidied. All of these are my opinions of course! Over all I like it!

Welcome Kess. The perch is interesting and the bird is in a great position. A head turn more this way would improve this. A little more room on the left and right would make it less tight and it looks like the flash is a bit strong as it cooked the whites.

Welcome Doug!! :D very nice first post!!sweet BG, great perch, nice pose! It needs more room on the sides and to tone down the white in the face.

Exposure is a bit over but the perch is interesting indeed ...
I'd have shot horizontal in this case and leave out the bottom half of this perch, Kess!

Nice pose and perch, Kess. I like KK's idea for a horizontal or more room as suggested. You did well with the background too.

Welcome and look forward to seeing more :D

Whites are a little hot and I agree with KK's suggestion for a horizontal here. It would add more room on sides and show less of the perch, especially the lower section in the shadows.
