This is lovely! For all the many photos of plovers on beaches I do think this one is rather special. For one thing you caught a very nice moment of course. This stretch is performed many times a day by almost all birds, but catching it this well is quite a thing. I really like the expression on its face during the stretch. The eye is squeezed just a little bit, as if it's really just awake, or as if it's really keeping an eye on you to see what you're up to. Nice!

One other thing I find special is the composition. At first glance I wondered why you hadn't cropped off a bit more from the left to fill the frame more with the plover. Or why you hadn't left more space on the top. But, after looking at it for a while and trying what it would look like without the negative space on the left, I think your choice of composition is great! It balances the image and even that black bit of stringy vegetation on the left has become an important element of the image.
