The tighter version really makes this action more dramatic with the detail and impact of the larger owl. I know you must be freezing your a-- off but it's well worth it seeing these images!

Love the position you got her in, Jim. I, too, prefer the cropped version as the bird has so much pattern on its feathers that it is difficult to see what part of the body is where.
