A gigantic screech owl. Amazing that the bird didn't just take off on approach. Wonderful shots.

Its amazing how they can do that. I think its more apparent with Great Grays because their size relative to their body mass is so much different compared to other owls. Its easy to see from this that if he was in a forest it could very hard to find him pressed up against a trunk or something. Nice shots

Interestingly, I got the red X the first time I tried to view on the work pc as well. After reading your comment that you refreshed the syntax, I tried just doing a refresh on the browser and voila, the photos appeared. Go figure.
Anyway I'm really glad that they did because this is really interesting behavior to see, and very well documented too!
