Milkweed Beetle

This beetle was the most cooperative subject of the summer. I shot over 30 captures of him before he decided enough was enough. Of all beetles these are the only ones that don't look prehistoric. They almost look like something my 4 year old would design. A beetle with a friendly look.

I recently purchased a 1DsII and can't wait for spring...

Reminds me of one of the little Pokemon characters that my sons "use to watch". Thank goodness those days are over with!! :)
Drove me crazy!!!

Love the feel of this cute little guy, and in how he seems to be peeking up and over a leaf and looking at the world that surrounds him.
The details in the face are nice, colors and lighting are great, and the comp is right on the money.

Very neat shot to get the "face" of the beetle since it normally points down. That MPE65 looks like a lot of fun!
