This is my first attempt at going smaller and isolating detail in a flower The image is about 3/4 full frame

My next attempt should be a little better after I receive some macro stuff recommended by Danny  Will probably take a little getting use to but will post some. 8)

Canon 1D Mk11
180 macro 1.4X 25mm tube Nikon 6T
f 22.0 1/125 sec
ISO 800
Canon Twin Macro lights

Comments welcome and much appreciated

Very nice. Looks like it could stand some more USM (CRT monitor here). The colors are beautiful throughout.
Thanks for posting,

:D Well very clever use of that 180mm, tube and 6T, thats for sure. Getting right in there Alfred with great sharpness and darn good DOF for this ratio. Impressive work. What you won't get with the FZ20 is that clean smooth background at iso 800 !!!, man thats clean. You will get that ratio though and from much further back :D also a higher ratio again. I think you will enjoy it.

All the best Alfred, hope you had a great one and once again, gorgeous macro here mate, just gorgeous.

Danny.

Thanks Danny appreciate the kind words 8)

I was able to use the 6T by using the Right Stuff flash bracket so the twin macro lights are mounted on that ring (not the Canon) this way I can use the step-down ring and the 6T

Might have the FZ this Wednesday (probably next week) Can't wait will be fun !!!! ... and will only shoot live things !!! 8) 8) 8)

Now we're talking Al! :)

I would suggest just a wee bit more light on the subject, maybe from a small reflector, and a touch of USM right on the tip end and you'll have it my friend.
And yes, ................. macro is a bad, bad habit!!! :)

Thanks for posting this one Al, and I know that we will see a lot more here soon!
