A green fly. Now you will see a stripe in its eye. Thats not a shadow or antenna. Thats a purple stripe running through its eye. Some flies have 3 or 4 stripes like that in the eye. Why I'm not really sure.

Having a bit of a groom this one with its proboscis out..

Oh man, I just love exposures that have white in them  why can't they land where we want them too. :D

All the best macroholics, even if you are one of them human things 8) :D

Danny.

Full frame Kyle :D Not as much detail as I would like though. I was stuck with an el-cheapo simple +3.

All the best Kyle and thanks.

Danny.

fine shot of a great species! pose and details are great! the white flower is a bit blown out but it does not hurt the picture that much; Happy holidays!

It still amazes me at how some of you guys can get one of these little guys to sit still long enough for you to even get a good shot!
This is great Danny. Nice details and colors within this little fella. The whites don't bother me at all really.

And, ................... c'mon dude.
You can post one of those "human" pics of yourself!
Just don't post some super macro shot of your nosehairs, and asking us to guess what it is, okay M8t?
(whoops, ........ maybe I shouldn't give you any ideas!) hehe!!

Thanks for posting this one Danny,
Mike
