Whooper Swan with Cygnets

Karl mentioned swans the other day and it just reminded me of this proud female and her cygnets that we found a few years ago in Scotland.  Although they mostly just pause to overwinter in the UK, a few do actually stop a while and breed.  This female was so proud of her babies.

Great capture of the mother looking at the little ones who seem to enjoy themselves. It really tells the story.

Beautiful family portrait of the Swan family. Nice feather detail of the adult. I also like the composition. I shall go back to the Bay area before our Swans leave for their nesting places.
