In habitat, working had to crack open a food item.

Always entertaining to watch the squirrels- very nice image, Karl. ( No red squirrels out my way, just grey squirrels- perhaps they require a more forested environment than the grey squirrels).

A lovely capture of their expertise in holding and cracking the nuts and other food items, Karl!  It looks like its got a walnut - one of my favourites to eat, especially when they're not fully ripe.  :)

Beautiful shot of this lovely squirrel. We have them here-they like to strip pine cones on our porch and leave the debris there! Your squirrel looks like it's got a big mouthful!
