CANON R7
CANON 100-500RF @ 300mm F7.1 @ 1/1000 ISO 640 Natural light & background Electronic first curtain shutter mode used- ( eliminates rolling shutter effect). This image is from last summer- no hummingbirds here until early May. The plant is a Lucifer plant, which only blooms for about two weeks in mid-summer, so quite a narrow time frame to try for images. It is always unpredictable as to when and if a hummingbird will appear at the plant, so on many days little success, but that's part of bird photography as we all know. I tried a wide crop here for something different, as the flowering plant(s), are quite important to the overall appeal of an in-flight hummingbird photograph, in my view.( I have a few other hummingbird images with different crops and poses, so they might be of interest to some viewers, in the near future). Province of Ontario, Canada, image- late July, 2023. Thanks to everyone for viewing Click on for best image. |
