While feeling bemused by the huge no of identical crab spiders sitting on identical flowers, and thinking how monotonous the day has become, I chanced upon this solitary wasp flitting around. I think it was trying to find a perch to turn in for the day. Not sure if this is a Potter wasp or a Mud dauber species. All have that long slender waist called a "petiole".
As flash was used, it lit up a blade of grass just behind the wasp. Its somewhat distracting....what do you think? Anyway, something different from spiders. Hope its an interesting image and comments welcomed. 90D, 180Canon, 1/200, f11, flash ETTL -2/3 hi speed sync, handhold, image rotated for a more vertical presentation.
