Orange Sulphur
Colias eurytheme A recent frost really knocked back both flowers and foliage; pickings have been slim. While walking my dog, I'd noticed a rather rare butterfly I've seen a ton of this year nectaring on the sowthistle. I went back with my camera, and my quarry was nowhere to be seen, but I loved the soft backlighting on this common species. 5DIV 100-400 4.4-5.6 L IS II f/7, 1/1600, ISO 800 Evaluative, -.67 Hand held, natural light Comments and suggestions always welcome. EDIT: I never say "click for (blah blah blah)", but the uncompressed view is much better in this case. |
