Amazing find and picture. My last Boreal Owl picture was taken at Amherst Island close to Kingston several years ago and never have seen one since.

Hi Peter. This is the one North American Owl I have never seen! Very jealous. You have great detail in the shadows here but to my eye, just one person's opinion, it looks a little washed out. I think if you look at a histogram or bring up levels adjustment you'll see there isn't much data reaching to the far left side of the histogram. Aggressive noise reduction can sometimes make it even worse.
