one of the things we hope to stumble upon on our macro walks is bugs mating, so glad i found this pair consummating on a grass blade. Trim a few distracting grass from the surrounds and tried at first to apply handheld full flash due to the wind. Flash can work but sometimes give an unwanted "deer in the headlights" effect to the image. The image here was shot with the help of a tripod with a lens I almost sold off.(to fund animal rescue)

Hope its an interesting view and comments are welcome.

90D, 180T, AP mode, f13, 1/60 sec, some ETTL fill flash, slight crop.

It looks good to me Darren - and the bugs seem happy....... and well done to support a worthy cause which is also dear to my heart.

Carol.

Great job with this capture. Terrific detain and I like seeing them at an angle on the blade of grass.
