Great landing pose. One of my favorite Hawks.
Unfortunately I only see them when I go to a place where they have them captive.

Karl, I understand. For me what probably cannot be demonstrated in captivity is that Harris's Hawks stay as a family unit. The adults do not run off the young when they become a certain age. Because of that, there is a distinct hierarchy within the Harris's Hawks family dynamics. As far back as I can remember, a female has always been in charge.
