Giza Mrembo (Swahili for Black beauty), grabs a Dik Dik whilst out on her nightly hunting trip, what a beautiful huntress she is! For me this has been my Holy Grail, after 42 yrs traveling to/and photographing African wildlife, I never thought the day would come when I would be privileged to see a melanistic Leopard!
This was just 1 one of 8 successful hunting trips I was most fortunate to witness during my amazing 9 nights here in Laikipia, Kenya.
I'm back here again in March.

What a marvellous find and capture Marc.

I'd heard of one on that plateau and but had normally associated your trips with the Serengeti. Then I read your script re Laikipia and all the pennies dropped into place. (a remarkable event for me.... pennies dropping into place LOL due to my age)...

Fabulous and sincere congratulations....

Amazing sighting. We'll captured with side lighting (artificial?) that makes it special. This is the kind of moment that we live for as wildlife photographers!
