This was taken at the top of Mt. Evans in Colorado which is at 14,000 feet and is the highest paved road in North America.  It was 49-degrees F. and we got hit with hurricane force winds (75-mph).  So, I only got one shot and had to retreat to the car - pretty scary.

One of my favorite places and my favorite time of year to be there is right now. It's always cold and windy, it seems. In September, the tundra lights up in beautiful colors.
This image is iconic for the place. You did well.

The little kid is a chip off the old block and the nanny is looking a little weary - not surprising with the conditions you describe, Jake. A lovely image for your short stay on the windy tops, and a touch more room at the bottom for her hooves would be even better.

A great image .. I don't think I'd like that wind at that altitude and terrain.

Great that you got at least this family portrait. It must be great to see these goats up there.
