Not the prettiest Windmill, but a first for me.

It is believed there has been a windmill on this site since 1596. The mill was ideally placed to catch the wind, producing over 100 pounds of flour every 3 to 5 minutes.

The mill seems to be in pretty good shape. Do they still use it for educational or other purposes?

Nice view looking up at it- quite the story! I'm curious too- does it still work?

I am not local to this, but this is what I have found.

The windmill is now an educational resource and is open to the public on the first Saturday of every month from April to September inclusive

As far as I am aware, most of the mechanisms are still there, but not in working order.

Nice one Peter! Good to see a windmill that still has the sails, we can see one from our house but the sails are long gone and the mill just used for storage.
