![]() From late last year, the hyacinth orchid is common is bushland near home, they are myco-heterotrophic depending on fungus for food supply and closely associated with Eucalyptus trees. They don't do photosynthesis and get everything they need through mycorrhizal parasitism. Taken with the 300mm f4, also took the same shot with the 12-40 lens at f2.8 and it has a remarkably different background. Both shots are 10-image stacks.
