Without doubt, this was my hardest hike by a country mile.I was battling what seemed like a force 10 gale, the hill I was climbing was very steep, which forced me to take a breather every 10 metres or so, and I was carrying a rucksack plus my tripod. The fact that it was wet and slippy didn't help me either. So what you see is known as the trinnacle which overlooks Dovestone reservoir in the Peak District. My intention before I arrived was to climb this rock formation and take a selfie, but at my age and in that wind it would have been foolish for me to try. But while I was there just to show me how it's done, these young lads in their 20's, climbed up like Spiderman shimmying up a building and posed on top.The rock formation is probably around 10mtrs in height.
