Canon 80D, Tamron 150-600 lens.
f/7.1; 1/1000; ISO-800 Taken at George Botanical Gardens, George, Southern Cape, South Africa. The name Boomslang is Afrikaans for tree snake. The Boomslang is extremely venomous, but it is shy and spends most of its time in trees, so bites are almost unheard of. This one is puffing up its throat to warn off a pair of birds which were irritating it. |
