An Argiope spider in a wild indigo bush:

That it's lunch wrapped up, probably one of the butterflies I was chasing.

It never ceases to amaze me how you can get a shot of a Spider and prey to look so artistic Tom - but you do!! Wonderful image with perfect DOF and exquisite detail. Awesome!! 8) 8) 8) 8) :)

Tom the spider by itself would be a great image..... the rest is amazing the composition is great very complementing colors and perfect dof!!!!

very nice perspective .I've never seen these sort of patterns on the sides before..not the markings the striping on the sides of the body

Really love the different look that this one has to it and its composition. Nice!! :)
I don't know that much really about the different spiders, etc., and this Argiope looks a little lighter in its coloring than the ones that I have seen down here in South Carolina.
