Frontal pose of the same elk. I believe I've corrected the blue cast but if not I could use some specific PS help.

10D, 600IS, no flash, ISO 400, f6.3, 1/80, EV -1 1/3.

Comments and reposts welcome.

Love the chocolately tones and the way you've got a dark background to show off his antlers. Grat pose as well.

Still very slightly blue. How do you correct blue cast already ? You could pick the tip of the antler, which looks like your whitest point, and just set that as your white point ?

I think this is a lovely shot Jim but again slightly blue. I have had a go at rectifying this and here is my effort. I selected Curves and the GRAY eye dropper and clicked on the area of gray water to the side of the Elk in the middle right of the image. The colours just snapped into place. Hope its OK for you. A really great shot. 8) 8) 8) 8) :)

As Carol pointed out, again the image is blue. I think your monitor must be out of calibration. Other than that, the shot is great.

Excellent portrait. I love how the antlers are accentuated by the green leaves in BG.

Another wonderful elk image.. Other than the color cast, it seems just a titch dark on my monitor but it could certainly be on the end. Good work Jim.

I rarely see an elk or deer image that I like but this is very good indeed. Carol's color correction makes the most of it although the gray area she chose is the one thing that bothers me about the overall image.
