A lower angle would improve this shot, but it certainly look a healthy speciment with a lovely sheen on the fur. 8) 8) 8) :)

Nice work EJ, comp is solid with bear in lower pwrpt. Great looking bear and I enjoy seeing the environment, trees and grass and of course feeding behavior..

Carol this is on relatively steep hill and the bear is coming down the hill. I'm totally eye level to the bear.

Very striking image with how the bear simply seems to jump out at you while against the green background.
Excellent!

He looks annoyed with you for interrupting his lunch!

That's a captive bear, right?

The shot is great, but I can't help but think that bear is grossly overweight!

I think part of what you are seeing is the shadow under the bear making him appear much bigger than he is.

Great shot EJ. You got excellent detail in the fur despite the tough lighting situation.

Good detail on the bear in a difficult lighting situation, E.J. I love the environmental surroundings and the way that you captured him in the middle of his salad course. He doesn't look too pleased.
