Whitetail Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)
Shenandoah National Park


10D, 100-300 f4.5-5.6, ISO 400, f9.5, 1/125, tripod.
Levels, USM,.

Taken early in the summer, this doe was keeping a watchful eye out for any danger to her very young fawn.

This is beautiful Chris! I love the sweeping curve of the neck and the head turn giving superb eye contact and all set off by the delicate grasses. Lovely image in every way. 8) 8) 8) 8) :)

Great colors and detail. A little more room at the top for the ears would be nice but very sweet as is.
