D1x, 300-800 @ 500mm, ISO500, 1/320 @ f5.6, incident.
This is the same bear I posted previously with the scum on her face and is one of my favourites as I'm a real sucker for the habitat shots. It was taken just as she rounded a bend in the river and, I feel, really puts the subject nicely in another of its natural habitats. This is distinctly different in atmosphere from the images we shot on the beach and those we shot in the estuary yet really only yards apart (tell that to my aching feet!). I remember commenting to Chas that the diversity of scenes we were able to shoot was quite remarkable. Regards
