Photography should be about exploring new ideas. Here is a pun video. Made with the GoPro HD Hero2, a cheap camera, full of flaws. But I loved making it. Excuse the boney legs. :D

That's quite the tour, Bill! I like the change to the kayak! Yes, fun!

Hi Eleanor,

Glad you noticed the transition. I think the video is too long, few will see what I intended, from Trike to Kayak. It is fun, a $300 camera that has caused a sensation among the active lifestyle. I look forward to using it more in the future.

Best regards,

Bill

Bill, I'm assuming you were using the head mount?

Hi Kari,

Yes, the camera was mounted on my bike helmet. Depending on which version you buy there are several ways to mount the camera. I have ordered additional mounts including the suction cup mount for use on vehicles. It is immensely versatile and totally waterproof in cases provided. I hope to use it to film Manatees while Kayaking.

Best regards,

Bill

Interesting video and nice transition (although I have to admit to fast-forwarding :-)

I saw GoPro and had to click on it. I recently purchased 2 Drift cameras (the GoPro's competitor). One is the older HD Stealth and the other is the new and smaller Drift HD. I like the Drift Stealth for the longer life battery that can be used with it. B&H is unloading these batteries for about $5 each...a bargain.

I've seen the Drift vs GoPro video comparisons on Youtube and GoPro definitely looks to have the better detail and clarity. I just may pick up a GoPro as well. It's just a neat looking camera with a water-proof camera shell. Recently saw a shark documentary where they used a series of GoPro's to capture a shark breaching.

PS. Cameras like this can have multiple uses including surveillance, car dash cam, time lapse photography, etc.
