Spectacular sky.
What are the camera specs/settings on this shot?

Welcome!

There's a lot to like about this image. I really like the colors in the sky, and the rows of vines and the shapes in the sky. What I'd like to see in addition is a slightly lighter foreground - just to bring out some detail and color down there. Also, I don't mind the centered composition as it is here, but the sky feels a little crowded and the cropped row of vines on the far left also feels uncomfortable. If you want it to feel more serene, consider trimming about an inch off the left. The subtle mirroring of the vines with the cloud shapes (which I really like) seems to indicate the image should be about serenity.

cheers,

Matt, Thanks for the comments and advice. I did a quick edit to incorporate some of your suggestions. Let me know what you think or if I screwed it up completely. :D .

I cropped the left side, lightened the foreground and burned the sky back in.

Well, perhaps a little too light on the vines, but it would be worth playing with. As far as the crop goes, now that I see it, I'm not as enthusiastic about it. I still like it - actually, I like the original a little more now that I see what the other options can be...

First, this should go the the Elements of Humankind Gallery. I'll let it slide just this once...

I like the first post the best. That sky is just great. I think the FG is just the right brightness too.

Nice and welcome to NSN!

I like the first one better as the second one has clipped brights that are obvious. Its a gorgeous photo but should be in EHK.

Sorry, I guess I didn't read the forum description close enough before posting.

Just for my own education should it go in the EHK gallery because it's a blended exposure or a vinyard, or both ?

Thanks
Craig

The first one looks more balanced or natural looking than the second version.
I sure like it!! 8)
