Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Photo and Digital Art Gallery, week ending 11th May, 2012!I had a productive weekend in early April and am now enjoying some fun with filters on some of the scenic/flower shots I took. I have a fun little write-up on my blog about the filters I used just in case anyone is interested. Blog address listed below in my signature line. With this image I was trying to recreate the type of scenes my mother paints when she is using oil on canvas.

Beautifully done, Kevin. I like the flow of the yellows as they spread out in the foreground.
Now I'll go read your blog.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. Living in South Texas where conditions are usually harsh and dry, seeing such a vast carpet of yellow flowers was a real treat to the eyes.

Nicely done Kevin, I like that swathe of golden flowers as they lead the eye into the image between the trees.

It was a sight to see in person Carol.

Thanks Jim. I've had fun playing with some art filters recently. I have a writeup on my blog if you haven't seen it yet.
