One of the cleanest, sharpest images I've ever seen posted!!! Even the detail of the vole are visible! Eye is super and really pops. BG is great and limb (whether it was a perch or not) is placed well. Perfect capture of a super subject!

Excellent pose and detail. The dark BG sets this off so nicely.

This is wonderful. Looks a bit over-sharpened.

Hi Conrad, the light looks pretty good to me. Might prefer to have this one a little further back in the frame, taking it just a bit more off center. Good Shooting!

Awesome capture . I really like the contrast between the BG and the subject.

Conrad, the light looks just fine to me (I'd kill for ISO 400 and 1/2000 in Costa Rica!), and I agree with some of the others that the dark BG really makes the bird pop.

Cheers,
Greg

Lovely image Conrad, love the bird against the dark background and the wing position captured.

Nice take off shot, Conrad. The prey in the talons is a bonus. Love the eye contact.
