Haven't posted in a long time. It's a long story but lets just say it involves crutches which makes macro a real challenge. Glad to be back. Comments and critiques always welcome. Is the bottom right distracting? Couldn't figure out a way to clone it out without it looking unnatural. 10D, 100 macro, 25mm extension, 1/250 at f8, extended flashes. Thanks for looking.

I'm not all that distracted by the corner in this image, but I wonder if a little more USM might not help this image pop just a little more.

Very nice though in my opinion. I have never shot butterflies before.

I agree, that a touch of USM would make this one pop a little more.
The white area at the wing tip does distract my eyes a wee bit, but really does not take away much from the overall image.
The colors, the tight crop and comp, .................. nice! :)

Excellent composition, Rob. Well done! BG is a little funky though.

Gorgeous shot with a little more USM it would look nicers. The white spots in the background are a little distracting but could be burned in a little.

Its always difficult when they land on bright flowers Rob!! But that's what they do! This shows the colours and markings off beautifully. Not ideal with the BG but still a fine shot. 8) 8) 8) :)
