Image taken 7-31-04 the other night during a full moon. This full moon was supposed to be a blue one and it wasnt very evident so i did help it just a tiny bit. To my liking anyway  Thanks for looking everyone!!

I was fortunate to be flying when the "blue moon" rose on Friday night - it was pretty cool. Nice and sharp shot.

Nice shot Robert,

though I find it too contrasty for my taste, but that's a neverending story wrt moon images.

Perhaps I can tell something about the quote Blue Moon. When there is blue moon, it has NOTHING to do with the colour of the moon. Blue moon means that there are two full moons in ONE month. This happens once or twice per year. So you'd better give this poor moon its colour back :D

Mind you it is not impossible to actually have a blue coloured moon, but this has to do with atmospheric conditions.

Cheers

Peter

Robert-
Now that Peter has jogged my memory about blue moons, I do recall reading about it. Its no wonder I didn't remember, as it must have been at least a whole entire year since I read it!
At any rate, your photo with its frame is very interesting, and I enjoyed seeing it!
