Another shot from the files, in advance of some new subjects in the coming weeks with any luck...

Nikon D3S/200f4micro/SB600/softbox
ISO 2000 1/200 f/22, handheld

Quite pleased with this one given that is a bit of a crop and some way from full frame; at least I got a bit more dof this way.

Excellent detail of spider and lunch. Neat pattern on the spider abdomen, nice diagonal orientation.

Hi

A fine capture of this predator / prey interaction – and I suspect you needed all of that shutter speed as well

I like the nicely dynamic angle although I would guess the crop effect has certainly helped in this respects allowing more DOF, so perhaps at full frame this angle would not worked as well?

Either way a highly enjoyable view – it works for me
