Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Photo and Digital Art Gallery, week ending 20th January, 2012!Composite landscape scene from Yellowstone, then added the coyote and hawk also taken in Yellowstone but on a different day. Converted to B&W in Nik.

I really like it Phyllis with the coyote gazing at the viewer. I think the image is strong enough w/o the hawk, but just my opinion. Lovely b and w conversion.

Lovely composite Phyllis! I like the sense of depth from the trees and clouds -- very nice.

Nice combination of images. The B&W helps the depth of field for me.

Beautifully done- looks like a pencil drawing/book illustration. I like the hawk , symbolically- maybe place it higher in the sky, angled, and a bit smaller? It looks a bit crowded down in the trees.
But overall a really lovely work- thanks for posting this!

Hi

I reckon that this is just spectacular – I love it

I understand the points made about the bird, and I would in an ideal world tend to agree with them. My thoughts are that the bird would be better place in the upper right, although you would need to rotate its direction.

All the best
Matthew

Beautiful scene and great idea! I just think the hawk is a touch too large in relation the the coyote and they are both just a little too central in the composition to my eye. I feel the coyote would look more at ease a tad nearer the bottom right corner, then the hawk could stay where it is - although slightly reduced in size. Lots of possibilities with this one!
