It was a cloudy morning at Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. I thought the morning was going to be a bust, until the sun started peaking thru a hole in the clouds behind me and lit up the landscape.

The play of light on the foreground is very nice.

A fine photograph. The center mountain peaks instantly draw attention. I would have liked to see them lit up instead of the foreground. What happened after a few seconds? Did the light reach those peaks or was it moving the other way? Could you have waited for another break in the clouds that would light the peaks? That would have made a big difference.

Jim, while this is nice i cant help but wish for a tree offset to one side to help anchor the image. As is its kinda flat and in your face like heres some mountains with light in the fg. Dont take this harshly, just my 2 pennys

The light here is very interesting. It looks wavy and watery in a wierd sort of way.

Sunlit peaks have been done a million times. This is a nice change IMO. Maybe a little flat looking but I'm sure a print would look totally different to what I have on screen here.
