Prairie Dog cohabitation

I guess I'm cheating a bit here depending on which subject you focus on. I've always known prairie dogs and burrowing owls live in the same town but these three seem to be comfortable in the same hole. The young owl on the right was seen going in and out of the hole a number of times as well as the prairie dog. They seem to be totally at ease about this arrangement.

A very interesting shot and a good one for the motif as well. I knew burrowing owls would use abandoned pdog dens but I was not aware that they would share the same one at the same time! Thanks for sharing..

I have never seen both use the same hole either. This is a unique capture.
