While walking on a trail next to a large marshland, I noticed that a pair of Mink were hunting behind me. Unfortunately the morning sun was right behind them and there was no possibility of a decent picture. I sat by the side of the trail, hoping they would might go under the shade of the vegetation at the side of the trail when they got closer. I was lucky to have one do so and managed a few shots.

Pretty tough situation with a busy fg and bg, but I like seeing this little guy. Very cool.

Your patience paid off. This is a very nice shot in a tough lighting situation. I would glady take the busy FG/BG to have a shot like this of a mink. Thank you for posting in Wildlife.

Great catch of this wild Mink Harold! They are extremely elusive over here and just melt into the undergrowth.

You have done well with the lighting and the habitat and produced a very nice image that I would be happy to have in my files. Well done! 8) 8) 8) :)

Nice shot of an elusive critter.

They are much maligned over here as, being non-native, they are taking over from our native species that have no natural defense against them. Well meaning animal activists have released them from mink farms in the past.
