Snow Leopard
Captive
EOS300D, Sigma 100-300 F4 + 1.4TC, ISO 200, f5.6, 1/100. 550EX -2/3

We spent a magical day yesterday with a private collection of Leopards, owned by a man with a passion for animals and conservation. To be able to spend time in close proximity with these amazingly beautiful big cats was an experience not to be missed. This collection is not open to the public, so Dave and I spent our day there as the only visitors and were able to watch and observe these magnificent animals without distraction.

This image shows just one of the many spellbinding moments we shared with the big cats, and in this case, with their cubs too. These little beauties are 4/5 weeks old.

All comments and critiques always welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking.

This is an underhanded ambush !!!, totally uncalled for and utterly cruel, I have been caught totally unprepared at work as I came across this image , with no diapers is sight I have made a mess of myself, but I will sit on my puddle until I absorb permanently enough of these photons into my neurons!!
Almost gone from the wild, what magnificent animals!!!
Stunning!!! 8) 8) 8)

Totally awesome and magnificent, Carol !!! Their poses are perfection and details, such as the little tongue, could not be any better!!!! Are Snow Leopards also known as Clouded Leopards? What a phenomenal experience for you and Dave!! I love this trio to pieces!!! :D :D :D 8) 8) 8)
P.S. - When I see Alex tomorrow, we'll work on his potty training!!

Thanks for your kind comments everyone, they are always much appreciated. :)

Alex - You need help my friend!!!!

Jill - The Clouded Leopards are so different from all the other Leopards, they are truly in a class of their own. These Snow Leopards have to be one of my favourites of the Leopard species, but the Clouded Leopards are quite unique in their colouration and even their head shape - not to mention their teeth, which bear a striking resemblance to the Sabre Tooth Tiger of prehistoric times!!

I'm speechless with this one....and that's a rare thing. This is just spectacular....and I feel badly that I can't think of enough words to describe the beauty with this. Let's just hope that Jill can get Alex trained today because if you post any more.....no telling what will happen!!!!
