Well, it seems I've been chasing these little guys for the last 10 days, thru snowstorms, rain, hail, sleet (sounds like a postman, hey?)

Anyway, this afternoon proved to be the best opportunity for mountain goat kids yet this season. I chose to start the posts with a pose of this young kid alone on the brink of the cliff... of course Mama was only a couple of steps away....

Talk about perfect timing!
The raised foot really puts this one over the top.
He's a cutie too.

Really glad you were persistent in finding them. Excellent photo. For printing I might consider darkening light center lower frame oof rock and adding a diffuse and subtle catchlight ... Great work...

Seriously cute and well composed. :)

Apparently you did not adjust the exposure value since you have all of the details of the image. I like to shoot dall sheep and ptarmigan at +1/3 EV. You might have had better detail on the head and left ear with that push. Its very easy for a digital shooter such as yourself to try to see if it helps.

Great capture with the raised foot and the kid right on the ledge. It even looks like he is smiling for you :)

Very nice; love the raised foot. Your persistence paid off. Look forward to more in the series. Concur with Dennis on slightly darkening the foreground OOF rocks.

Very cute shot. The implied motion of the raised foot makes it even better.

Great timing Bob to catch this pose and expression!! Wonderful shot and well worth taking up Dennis's suggestion to darken the FG rock to complete this beautiful image!! 8) 8) 8) :)
