Shot on film two years ago. We were camping at the North Rim and the light was just illuminating the tufts of grass on the top but hitting some of the formations beyond. I thought it was a wonderful moment and was glad to have it on film. Next time perhaps on pixels.
Anyway, it was wonderful to see and experience.

I know it was shot with an Eos 1V, I forgot the lens and exposure. Digital helps in those times.

Superb shot! The light just clipping the FG leaves really emphasises the fleeting nature of light like that.

Wonderful! The light and color are awesome. Perfect timing to get the foreground grasses lit up like they are on fire. Nicely done!

A nice one Steve. I like being able to see into the shadows.

I like this a lot with the illuminated bushes in the front. Gives depth to the image. Sky is a pretty color too.

Holy smoke! Would be a strong shot even without the foreground grasses but they really put this in another league. Congrats!
